Well I knew it was coming but still I wasn't ready. I lost one of my best most loyal friends tonight. She followed me everywhere even to the knife building shop. She didn't like it inside cause all the noise but you could bet your last pay check she was out side waiting for me to call it a night and head into the big house. But if the weather was right that I could open the garage door she'd be right there at the edge waiting till I was done building knives to go in for the night! Dang man you get atttached to those big hearts on four legs! Best dang dog I've ever owned. period.

It sucks to lose a good dog. Sorry LC.

Count yourself lucky to have had such a Great Furry Friend. Sounds like she'll always be in your heart...as you can always tell by just feeling her tail wagging there. Doc

breaks my heart to read it. I have 3 myself and have had others in the past. The reward is worth the risk with a dog in my opinnion - dogs are so damn loyal. Be well in your memories of such a great companion.

Well like always the great folks on here are giving sound advice. Last night it felt like my heart was ripped out. I swore I'd never own another cause there never could be another. But after reading all the comments above and some time to think about it you all are right and I truly deeply appreciate your thoughts. It still hurts but life goes on and I do appreciate the time I had with BJ. For the record just a mutt heinz variety too. Long and funny story but there I go again, a tear in my eye! Just wanted to say thanks for all those who have been there, will be there or are there or finally to those have a good faithful dog by your side now, and thank the man upstairs! all you can do is love them when they are here and miss them when they are gone

Get back on that horse and ride for all it's worth (and that's a great deal) - a dog man can't stand to be without a dog for very long. It simply robs something from your life and soul. A new dog will help the good memories cover the pain quicker - IMO
Also so very sorry for your loss (I have lost so many of those great friends in my lifetime but wouldn't give up a single memory.)
