Trugrit.com has several grits in that size.

I have the 2x42 from Sears.  Get my belts at Jantz w/o a problem.  I'm surprised TKS doesn't carry them...

does yours have the big platen? in the pics it looks like the platen goes all the way up, so i was wondering if i could cut a section of it out so i would have some contour room.

does it bog down any?

Here is a quote from Jeremy in another thread about the platen.

"The Sears 2x42. One thing you'll want to do to modify it though is to either regrind the edges of the platen so that they aren't wider than the belt. Or even better get a 2" wide ceramic platen and use JB Weld to attach it - that's what I'm gonna do anyway"

Hope it was okay to post it Jeremy!

i dont mean wide. i mean up and down, would it ruin it if i was to cut out say a five inch section sothati can manipulate the belt?

There's room above and below the platen, but you can cut out more if'n you like.

No worries skullworks... saved me from having to retype it  :)

I haven't had a problem with it bogging down.  The first one I bought wouldn't start - bad capacitor and a bad connection somewhere along the way - but the replacement is works great.  I'd like to be able to slow the belt speed down though.  That thing is really humming!  It'd help prolong the belt life.

You can remove the platen and use it as a slack belt grinder.
