Sometimes you get surprised and your work comes out better than you expected. This finger guard came out really neat with the way the old file pattern spread and curved around it. No need to show the whole knife as this is what I'm looking for :) Doc

Looks like wood grain. It would be cool to match it up with some burl with a similar pattern.

perfection ! You make that brut de forge style as good as any i have seen and i have really been studying them as of late , I hope to get half as good in my lifetime .
