I've given to ST Judes and sold a few kitchen knives recently so I decided I needed a few for myself. Both are 1084 steel, 9 inches OAL with Osage handles although the slicer has some nice funky grain & knots.
Since coming home to Boston from Aiken, SC...my wife & I have started cooking meals from Blue Apron. It is a service that sends out three meals a week with very unique/different recipes that take about a half hour to prepare. Both knives are already showing some patina coloration from work in the kitchen...tippit

Nice work. Both should prove very handy.
