Title: Belt Axe
Post by: Lin Rhea on September 24, 2015, 03:20:00 PM
This all belt axe I just finished. I forged it as a demo and carved the handle as I got a few minutes over the last couple days. The handle is 9 inches with an over all length of 11-1/2 inches.

Good looking axe, really like how you carve your handle. Looks like it gives you great control of the axe.

That is a really nice looking tool there.  You are awesome Lin - hey, just hammered out this perfect little axe and when I got a few moments I carved a nice handle for it that looks like an artisan Viking carved it!!

My dream day at the forge would be just watching you work and asking questions - LOTS of questions.  You are very inspiring for me.

Thanks guys.

Bobby, don't kid yourself. It's not perfect. But it'll do. I am hoping to encourage you and anyone else to give the old ways a try.

Love it, Lin! Fantastic!  Any man would be proud with that riding on his belt.  Regarding the old ways...my 8 year old son often says, "Dad, old-fashioned is sometimes the best fashioned." He's really about 83 in spirit.  :)

Curt, He sounds like my kind of kid. I have said many times that I was born old.  :)
