Title: Face lift and first shot at sheath making
Post by: 92Fspc4 on December 09, 2015, 01:33:00 AM
This is the knife I previously posted with the orange cord wrap.  It quickly became dingy so I tried some laminate.  Though not very obvious there is a slight finger groove near the blade.  Nicholson file.  Flat grind.  3.5" blade.  Blonde laminate scales.  I also made a sheath for it. This is my first sheath.  I love how the knife feels now. Man this is addicting.

Oh yeah.  Any idea what that leather is?

Looks like a very nicely done facelift. I'm guessing the leather to be alligator embossed cowhide. Keep up the good work man.

Yeah it definitely has a gator texture.  It came in a scrap bag.  You can get some neat leather in those scrap bags.
