Title: Hidden Tang Rasp.
Post by: just_a_hunter on March 09, 2016, 05:45:00 PM
Just finished this guy up. It's an antique American made rasp very similar to 1095, copper furniture and elk antler.

I messed up on the sheath. I don't know what I was thinking but I wanted the belt loop to be high ride and didn't notice that the sheath will need stitched right through the belt loop. I figured this out right when I cut the leather out of course and didn't want to waist my leather so I told myself I'd figure it out. So the caddy is extra. It's bolted on the back with Chicago screws. Not ideal but I think it turned out pretty good for a mistake.

The sheath mistake. My belt loop is only 3/4" wide. Not very many man belts that small.

In the spirit of Tradgang, I better not talk firearms as it is just a prop for the knife photo but yes too both your questions!    :bigsmyl:

Thanks again,

Todd
