Title: A little bigger one with elk scales
Post by: KSCATTRAPR on March 23, 2016, 09:03:00 AM
Here is one I finished up over my spring break last week. 1095 with elk scales. The blade is close to 5 1/2" and the overall length is 9 1/8". The handle is a bit beefy for my liking, I wish I would have thinned the scales and guard down more. I plan on making another one just like it but with osage scales that are a bit more skinny.

It looks like it came right out of the mountains. Very nice.

Thanks Lin. Thats kind of the look I've been going for lately. I like the look of a rustic knife. I've found that If I make them a little "rough" looking, I'm more inclined to use them.
