This is unusual for me. I cant say just why because I like trailing points.
This one is Damascus with a Damascus guard and bronze and stained stainless spacers. Yes, you can stain it. :saywhat: and sheep horn.

Another sheep horn handle, my favorite handle material. Beauty Lin!

Thanks Bill!

I know a MS doesn't need me to tell him this, but there be some beautiful lines to that blade. Oh, and I love sheep horn as well. Not real sure why I haven't tried it on one of my knives yet. The sheep horn as well as the nice lines, that is. :)

Nice looking knife Lin!

I put some nice sheep horn scales on a knife recently and made the mistake of heating it a bit too much while shaping it on the belt sander. The layers started separating. Live and learn, I guess.
That's a beautiful piece of work, Lin.
Care to share the secret for "staining" stainless steel (other than heat colors)?
Your knife is one of my prized pieces that I try to work just a little closer to with each knife I make. Definitely the benchmark!

Thanks guys.
Ron, Caswell makes stains for metals, even stainless. It's very reasonable and easy to use. I use a cotton swab to apply it most of the time.

That is a serious beauty!
