Wanting immediate access to your knife for daily chores is not an easy thing when Elk hunting with a pack on most of the time,a knife on a belt is out of the question due to the pack waistbelt.
This set up has proven useful when a utility blade is needed while my my main knife is safely stored in the pack.
The Sheath is Kydex and the blade is a small damascus tactical style with micarta scales.
