Title: Potomac Forge Utility
Post by: Steve Nuckels on September 17, 2016, 04:08:00 PM
Wish I was creative enough to think of names for these knives, anyhow.

Here is a small knife made from an antique saw mill blade. Stained maple handle with silver wire inlay and elk antler finger guard with a little scrimshaw.

The knife is 8 inches OAL, 3 7/8th blade etched in ferric.

Thanks Todd,

The temper line came close to the edge, managed to keep a good edge!

That's my kind of blade right there, very well done. The elk antler guard is a very cool touch and looks very well with the handle / blade combo.

Don't worry about the names. With work this pretty no one cares what you call them, they're just going to say Wow!
