Title: Holm-made Knife
Post by: The Gopher on September 25, 2016, 12:02:00 PM
Did you know that our own Chad Holm of Holm-Made Bows has made several knives? Here is a vintage piece that I cleaned up a bit, sharpened and made a new sheath for.

I have made three hunting knives for Chad so far. Last one was a neat little Puuko. He reported quartering and skinning 6 hogs with it. He must be a very good shot as well as an excellent bowyer.

Below puuko has 1/8" thick x 4" D2 blade with stabilized box elder and red stabilized myrtle accent.

I made that one about 15-20 years ago.  Glad to see you revived it.

Nice picture, Mike.  I really like that one.

Hi Chad I just got back from a canoe trip with wife on East Bearskin. The Camp knife you made for 20 years ago did a great job of chopping a alder down to size for a walking stick for the wife. Mine is old enough that you had not started stamping you name on them yet. Jesse still uses the small hunter blade you made for him.

When you start talking about stuff I made as "vintage" it makes me feel old.  Please stop.  LOL   :knothead:
