Post by: mater on January 27, 2017, 12:34:00 PM
I know this has been ask before but where do you get the best sanding belts? I'm changing to a different size belt 48" to 72" and want good belts. Thanks Mark

There are a number of places you can get them. The last handful of times I've bought them it's been through trugrit.com.

Pops Knives & Supplies (popsknifesupplies.com)
Great Service

Just finished putting together a 2x72. I bought a variety of belts from Tru Grit, but I've heard good things about Pops as well.. Pops seems to be a little cheaper but didn't look to have the selection TruGrit had.

So far in my limited experience i'm liking my 3M cubitron ceramics for roughing and trizact gators for finishing. Also bought some cheapo AO belts in varying grits for wood handle work.

Tru Grit caters to a lot of industries beside knife makers, hence, their wide selection of materials.
Pop's caters to knife makers.
