Post by: KSCATTRAPR on July 09, 2017, 06:04:00 PM
Here are a few I've gotten done so far on my summer break. I still have about a month left and plan on doing a few more before school starts back up.

Rat Tail brute with green dyed stag.

Thanks again guys. Mark, the smallest one is just a small brute with a rat tail. I had a really small set of green dyed stag scales that fit it perfect.

how are you getting that rustic look on your blades..Like acid has eaten part of the blade.....Rick

Rick, Those are just hammer marks I've left in the blade that I did not grind out. I do etch the blades in feric chloride and  vinager when I'm done do give it the grey look.

The only problem with owning such nice looking tools is remembering that they are tools designed to be used. I always get up set when I drop one of my special knives in the dirt. I would be upset to drop one of these! They look good.

Thanks again guys. Sam, luckily, getting these knives dirty isn't my problem anymore, they all have new homes. But I agree with ya, I have a few that I've never even worn.
