May not be able to do it. There are size restrictions. I have shipped a couple of Takedowns there and it runs $35 USPS Express Mail insured.

You're six inches to long for USPS. The prices for the other two will scare you.

You can do it but it is expensive.  I have ordered and received many full length-bows from the States.  They will all cost you about 150-160USD.  The last one I received, which was my T/C bow in November last year, cost 160.

They have come via USPS and FedEx, the cost seems about the same.  You are a wise man Lslite for sending in a PVC tube.  I won't accept any bow from the States unless it comes in PVC.

My new Fox Royal should be here in April and Ron is going to ship in PVC.  By the time the Qantas bag-handler lads give it the mandatory drop-kick, anything other than PVC will end up here looking like it did a few rounds with a Grizzly.  I know becuase it happened to me.

Yes the max length to ship with USPS International is 60".You would have to go with another shipper and the cost will be around what suttoman said.I ship a longbow to France and it was $122.15 to ship UPS.

I found Fedex to be the cheapest, about $90 for a 68" tube to Melbourn.

When did you do the last one Mohawk - because my Turkey Creek came toward the end of last year with FedEx.  I just went out to the shed to check the label on the PVC tube.  It was just on $160 US.

I am not trying to contradict you - if you did it for that price then I got ripped off!

I shipped one recently, and it was $175.00, U.S.
It was a Martin/Howatt recurve.

Sent several over there last year and the prices were all under $100, the shipping guy would quote me a much higher price and then "your cost" of between $85 and $95. Maybe I just was getting a really good deal huh??

What were they, and how did you send them? You may be onto something.

Gene,
They were 64" one piece longbows, I used 3" irrigation pipe capped at each end, it is strong but a thin walled pipe that is relatively light. I use a shipping service in my small town that uses UPS, USPS and FEDEX, I just tell him to give me the best price he can. Today I used the same thin walled pipe in a 6" size and shipped two one piece longbows to Pa. with insurance, delivery confirmation and 2 day delivery for $20.15.

Man, I wish I had known your shipper! Domestic shipping is around $20.00, but I looked all over and couldn't find anything less than the $175.00 to Oz. Maybe I'll ship from Conifer next time, it's just up the hill!

Good job!
