Finally got it in after a couple of 3 months of waiting. It is yew laminate with a hickory backing. The grip is elk skin and the knocks are made of horn. The pics do not do it justice. I had it made in the classic english style with no shelf. Oh, and it is 74 inches long.
In my opinion, Jay St. Charles did an excellent job on this bow.

I just got it today and shot a few arrows. It feels great, very quiet, and the arrows fly nicely. I was going to get Jay to make me a bow out of a single stave of yew, but he talked me into the yew laminate, instead. He said to find the perfect stave for a yew stick bow is nearly impossible to do and the laminate would shoot better. He tells me he is currently working with a wood called Ipe (EE-pay) from S. America. He says it is a wonderful wood and shoots great. His sister is a fletcher and I had her make cedar arrows specific to this bow. I am extremely pleased with the final outcome.

I shot one of Jay's bows a few years back when Northwest Archery still had a shop in Seattle. I really liked it.
Like you, I also order my POC arrows from Jay's sister Suzanne. She does a great job.
