This is my latest project. It was a 2-1/2" sapling my son cut in S.C.
The only side of the sapling that didn't have too many branches was
curved a little toward the belly side.
I had to heat bend the limbs to get them nearly straight before and
during tillering. The bow has some lumps and voids here and there, but
shoots well. It draws 42# at 28" and is 66" ntn. IT has about 2-1/2" of
string follow right after unbracing and 2" when recovered.
It shoots well, but is heavier in the hand than the locust bow I have
been shooting. I haven't decided whether to wrap the handle. It feels
good the way it is, and I shoot from the knuckle, so don't need to add a
rest.

that is nice lokken bow. i just built one out of hickory and now i am going to build one out of white ash. Congrats nice bow!!!!!!!!

I'm with Jawge, tiller is RIGHT ON. Now that I'm in a drier climate I am thinking about trying Hickory again.
