Hunted this last weekend in Llano,County Texas on a doe and spike hunt. I took this doe on a an evening hunt on January 17, 2009. 15 Yrd shot, Big River (Hill Style) longbow, 2020 arrow, 260 gr. STOS. Arrow went thru just the BH coming out the other side. Deer were very WILD! I picked a spot right underneath her bellyline and still hit a little high. Due to her "springing down" the exit hole was higher than the entrance with a downward shot.

Awesome shooting on those "Jumpy" Texas deer, I know the feeling! Very weird picking a spot below the deer and letting the arrow go!
Congrats!

There is some meat in the freezer. They are small in the Hill country of Texas, but it is a target-rich enviroment my friend.
