Title: If it weren't for bad luck...
Post by: don kauss on January 11, 2010, 08:14:00 PM
I am trying to watch the WMV files of Paul Schafer and Company hunts, and cannot get them to play...I have downloaded two different downloads proclaiming to play wmv files, but neither have worked...can someone help me, Pretty-Please-with-sugar-on-top?

No, I don't believe I have in the past...I'm no computer person though...I am on a mac...Tom Mussatto just spent an hour or more trying to help me, and everything failed miserably...I suspect that something must be wrong with my system and/or set-up...???

kids are great with this stuff - perhaps you can get some local help?

sorry i just dunno how to help ya out.

best of luck to ya,
rob.

I'm on a Mac too. I think you have to  get something called "Flip4Mac" to play the wmvs.

There is only one program to use in such an occasion. It will play ALL filetypes, no need to ever download a codec!

It is calle VLC, and is available, free, for most Operative systems incl Windows, Linux, MAC & Solaris

Click on the link to go to the download page.

This player is stable and very good for all media files, except .mkv (HD-Files)
VLC will play HD-Files, but has not 100% mastered horizontal panning with them!
