Am I not seeing it? If you want to PM someone from here from scratch it seems like you have to go find them in a thread. And why is it that under "My Profile" there is not a link to create a new PM to someone? And why can't you reply to an existing PM unless that person replies back first?

IF a member allows pm's, which most do, just click on the envelope icon with two people shaking hands.

aside from pm'ing them from a post they've made, you can do a directory search for a person(s) and pm them from their profile (assuming they allow pm's)

can't pm to yersef, though the pm link is there

now think about that for a moment, and the resulting confusion that could create. now you know why a new pm/title makes sense
