Title: Anyone else having issues with photobucket?
Post by: Matabele on November 04, 2016, 03:16:00 AM
Hi all,

Pics I've been able to view yesterday are now blanked out (white box). The only ones I can see are from other picture hosting sites like Imgur. This is on my phone.

I tried inserting an image from my laptop yesterday and the IMG link just blacked out when the mouse cursor hovered over it. Couldn't actually click on it.

Any one else have this issue, or able to suggest how to fix it?

i don't have answers for you about photobucket, but i abandoned them over a decade ago in favor or  www.imgur.com (http://www.imgur.com)  because pb exerts too much control over images and their viewing, whereas imgur doesn't.  imgur is also totally free for all of their services.

also, be aware that mobile computing devices (smartphone/iphone, ipad/tablet, etc) work vastly different from actual, real computers - desktops, laptops, notebooks.  if something doesn't appear to work with a mobile device, try it in a real computer and it usually works just fine.  the problem is usually that mobile browsers just work and "think" diff'rently from real computers.  bringing the mobile device issue you have back to the device's manufacturer might get the problem resolved.

also, as of this typing, pb is down for maintenance.

Thanks for the reply and info Rob, appreciate it! I'll look into Imgur, really frustrating trying to deal with PB at the moment. Hopefully things will return to normal after the maintenance.

test   http://imgur.com/a/oP6OT

nope, that's not the right image code for posting on forums. go back to your imgur account and look at the codes lines for your image and select the one that uses this code syntax before and after yer image code ...
Code: [Select]
