I made a not so good shot tonight on this doe. But I got lucky and she went only 35 yards and was down. A 200 grain vpa saved my butt. Was an exhausting walk back to the farm to get a sled and then back up into the bluffs to get her before the coyotes did. I skijored back down the bluff logging road with the sled in front steering it like a mule in front of a plow.
Cascade night hawk. Grizzley stick sitka, 200 grain VPS , 22 yard shot, 35 yard recovery

Congrats on a nice doe! I love the mental picture of her and the sled dragging you down the hill. Just think if you had been at the bottom and needed to go up.
Out of curiosity, what is a VPS head? VPA maybe?
