Here in Michigan it is illegal to hunt turtles with a bow or gun but I think that would be an awesome way to enjoy a day on the water with a heck of a meal come nightfall. Congrats!

Its funny because In NY
Snapping Turtle: A hunting license is required to take snapping turtles. The only legal implement for taking snapping turtles is a firearm, bow, or crossbow
