Are those velvet rags hanging from the antler bases? What part of the state did you find him in? Great trophy, particularly for the self bow!

Nice buck Carson! I thought I was going to see a picture of Fred C.'s buck from the Trout Creek Mtns. also killed opening morning. They could be twins. Missed seeing you Sat.

Thanks guys!  This was my first archery harvest.  Cant describe the feeling of watching this buck fall in his tracks.

newhouse114, yes, that is some stubborn velvet hanging on to the base of his antlers.  

58winters, missed being there.  My brother, Chase, had a birthday party for his two boys that evening.  That is great for Fred!! I am looking forward to swapping tales with him. I haven't been back to Trout Creek Mountains since I was just old enough to carry a bow and deer tag.
