That’s exactly how I’m doing it. But it won’t let me post pics from my IPhone. Keep getting one of two messages.
Pic is in the wrong format.

File took too long to upload or is too large for server.

As for the pictures you already have, you need to size them down.
I have the same problem, some of my older pictures from phone will not load do to server timeout.
Since I lowered the picture size my phone takes, all my recent pictures load.
Try it now, lower the setting for you phone camera, take a picture, and see if it loads.

I know you guys are probably already stressed from the conversion so I hate to bother.
I've figured out how to downsize pics on my IPhone to smaller size, but my phone saves pics in JPEG format. When I try to post it says that is not an allowed format.
Anyone know how to change the format?
I can't imagine a JPEG would pose a problem but could be a thing with IPhone...Maybe someone can jump in here with some direction

while it could be yer having a network problem, it's probably a way too large image that's bogging things down. resize images to no more than around 1200 or so wide and it'll load fast.

Cell phone cameras take humongous size pictures for some reason. Go into your phone's camera setting and lower the size pictures it takes.
But not only cell cameras. Any camera can be set to take very large mega bite pictures.
You also can edit your pictures and make them smaller.

I will generally resize images from my phone down to around 600/800
