I've worked my way up to this beast, and I've been shooting some custom made bamboo arrows with it. I've had some get away from me as I'm honing my craft, and I'd like to start stocking up so I have plenty on hand to continue to improve.
I've shopped some arrow questions on other forums, and I've gotten some great advice regarding giving a shot at making my own arrows. However, arrow making is going to be a labor of love that takes me some time to master, in the meantime, I'd like some choices of modern arrows suitable for the bow. The spine charts I see online just don't seem to have me in mind. As I understand it, I need 500+ grains of weight simply not to damage my bow, right?
My goal is to find a modern arrows suitable for my bow. Any suggestions?

I would go with 1100 grains for a 110# bow - I have used a 90# bow with 1150 grains and performance was excellent.

You put that mass on what kind of arrow? Length/make/model/spine etc.? Thanks!

full length 2219 with a full length carbon 55/75 - 1 steel adapter (weight?) - 1 STOS head that weighed 160 grains - and I think I added bird shot to get a 300 grain head weight. Sorry been twenty years. Very durable - Very accurate after bare shaft tuning - can't remember the final length I cut them off 29 1/2 - maybe little longer but I don't think they came in over 30 I'll look around in the shed later.

Just checked and found some in the shed - 1035 grains total weight - 29 np to bop - 300 grain head weight - this one was as described above - I used many double arrow build combinations in the 80s and 90s - then we would create a head weight from our bare shaft results. Looks like now it would be easy - or easier - to get a heavy broadhead. Good Luck.

I have 2 heavy recurves that are 100lbs@28, and about 110lbs at my 29.5 inch draw. 2 arrows that work for me, Grizzlystik Momentum 170 with 100 grain brass HIT insert, and I put a 2117 easton gamegetter inside of a 2317 gamegetter with 100 grain brass insert.
