Title: front end weight question
Post by: 702plmo on March 19, 2008, 11:00:00 PM
I have a friend who just go a new morrison bow.   He wants to use the new 300 grain broadhead from morrison when they come out.   He will be using carbon arrows.
Heres the question:

What is the best way to get up to 300grains of front end weight while using a fieldtip?

I have not messed with carbons that much and want an opinion from someone who has already done it.   This saves alot of time and $$$

I would purchase the 50 to 100 grain brass inserts and put a 250 or 200 grain target tip in front.

If your using an Axis arrow shaft you could use 100 gr brass inserts and 200 gr field points. I believe both are available from 3 rivers.
