Title: Multiple word/phrase search
Post by: 2madjacks on August 21, 2018, 02:31:18 PM
Is there a trick to search a phrase. Seems like when I search a phrase I’ll get plenty of results including One word but not always all as typed.  Thanks

To the right of the search window is another window where you can select "match all words", or "match any words".

That may help.

Yep, I’ve played with that.  For example try to search “Bone Broadheads”.  There are plenty of threads That are broken up with both words spread throughout but it not until #7 that I actually see a thread with the complete search phrase as typed.  Just seems like my searches get so much irrelevant info that’s it’s no wonder we see the same threads over and over in the PowWow. Sometimes it would be easier just to start a new thread than try to filter through the search engine.  Any suggestions are much appreciated!! Thanks

as shown in the search engine example, encapsulate the key word(s) you wish to search on with quotes.

as in "Bone Broadheads" and voila ....
