Does anyone know what type of head this is?

I was thinking an old Stemmler's head?

Looks like a Stemmler Big Game Broadhead c.1937

That is correct a 37 Stemmler. Although yours is pinned to the shaft, the ferrule was actually threaded so it could be screwed onto a wooden shaft.
