Title: Vintage Bear Polars
Post by: Hightower_Ash on March 27, 2019, 05:23:06 PM
Hi all, new member to the forum, I've got a few older Polars I'd like some information on. They're on loan from my uncle who seems to be a part-time Bear historian, but even he is unable to come up with answers for all of his questions.
I'll add some photos of the bows when I get the chance. Thanks
~Ash

Welcome! Polars had a wide range in design from the 1950's through 1960's.  Pictures would help.  They are fun bows to get to learn.  There is/was a guy on here who knows a ton about them.  His handle is Jeremy.  Polars are/were his thing.  I am not sure he's active on here any longer but he has a wealth of knowledge.

Here is a link to vintage archery catalogs. The 1956 Polar was called a semi-recurve.  It was my first Bear bow with a dual arrow shelve
