I have an old English long bow that appears to be a factory model as the specs are stamped into the bow. Does anyone know what bowyer/company made this bow? The riser appears to be made of Lemonwood. Thanks.

How about Amarco ....this from the '56/'57 catalogue, p6, model AO 68 ?

How about a picture of the whole bow?
.... doesn't really look like an ELB
....too flattened/oval limb section & a nock overlay rather than a complete horn nock?

Like I said in the thread on Bowyers Bench the bow looks like a lemonwood American longbow. The flared limb above the handle indicates an ALB and not an ELB. The stamped marking means(68) 68" long,(40#) 40#@28"(28) and it is a(M) Men's bow.
I have an ELB style lemonwood bow made by York(formally Woodcraft Equipment Co) that was made between 1930 and 1940. I contacted York in the 1980's and was sent a copy of the original catalog. My bow was originally priced at $7.00.

AO 68"
i still think it's an Amarco.
Catalogue that page came from doesn't have any decent pics & I don't have any earlier catalogues
to compare & it doesn't appear in '58 onwards.
If I could find it, there was someone on here or FB/TT/LW who had an Amarco set AYAS,
which included the same bow id AO 68 - if I/we could find that post it would give us a bow
to compare against - I've looked around a bit but not found it so far ;-)
