I make a good many knives but I also pride myself on making and using my own broadheads. These are a style I call bodkin plus. Fairly simple design but I forge them from 52100 3/8" round bar. After grinding the bevels in I usually put in a distal taper as well to reduce the weight on them. They are really good on deer, elk and black bear or the occasional car door or brick wall if you wanted to. :biglaugh:

Ok, I'm drooling. Nice work, proportions seem right on, lovely grind.

I forge these out to about 80 percent then take them to the belt grinder. They're actually VERY effective. I know in this day and age the norm is to overdesign and have 8 cutting blades or something ridiculous but the two blade, tank indestructible broadhead has been taking game for hundreds of years. Hard to beat that track record.

How do you mount them on shaft. Pictures?

I'll mount a couple and post pictures.

Thank you.
