I used 15n20 at 62 RC, micarta for the scales and used a mustard finish on the blades.

Very Nice.  What is your finish on the blades?

Just plain yellow mustard.  Dap it on and scrub it off after about an hour. I really like it on carbon kitchen knives as they patina anyway

I've seen that before, does it wear off with washing/scrubing?

Maybe if you use a scotch brite pad you could remove it, but with normal wash and dry it really stays on.  You can leave the mustard on for longer and it etches a bit deeper (like rust) but I just keep it on for a short period of time.
