Title: Deluxe West Bow

I have an older recurve which has "Deluxe West Bow" printed on the upper limb. The only other markings are the bow length, draw weight and length, and "279F" on the lower limb. Does anyone know anything about the Deluxe West Bows ?

WestBows were made in Houston Texas for about four years from 1958 to around 1961.

The owner was Wesley Ratcliffe.

They are very smooth and stable with excellent cast.. I imagine yours has big hooks and small tips with lots of overlays.

I have four WestBows and shoot them often. Here are pics of a 60" Special Hunter and a 56" Jupiter Hunter.

Thanks Gerald and good looking bows you have there...
The one I have does have small tips with multiple overlays in the tips. I've never shot the bow. I received it from an old friend, who since long passed. Looks like it had a tape-on site on it at one time and a leather pad in the grip - both are no longer there - only the residue from glue. The limb glass looks yellowed from age, unless it was made that way. Any thoughts on how much it might be worth? I have a small inventory of older bows that I'm looking to sell prior to moving to another state. Thanks again for the info !

Can you post a picture of the bow?What are the specs? Draw weight, length etc?

I have never paid much for a West Bow as they are not that well known, but once people shoot one they usually keep them!

Just curious if anyone with a West Bow would be interested in selling. My wife’s cousin is related to Wes Ratcliffe and would like to get his hands on one of his uncles bows. Any help or info on one available for sale. Please let me know. Thanks.
