I been wanting to make this bow for the last year or two... Finally got around to it... It's kind of a cross between all three bow styles... R/D, recurve and a lever bow with siyahs... Did some math in my head and came up with this... I am more of a fan of a lever than a recurve...
52# --- 60" string --- 7" brace --- 16" riser --- 1 1/2" at the fades --- 5/8" at the tips...
Shoots like a lazer... Very stable...

Nice bend on that one really like the concept

Thats a sweet looking profile, Rich  No wasted limb.
Get much twang out of it?
-
I like it! Showing a nice dfc chart.
I bet it quiet too.
Looks a lot like my RER Vital. Just the lever angle is a bit tighter
Thanks for sharing

Very nicely engineered!. I can imagine it being fast too.Well done!

That's a nice arc of a circle bend. Very pleasing visually.

Hey Rich could you post a front view pic ?

Hey Rich could you post a front view pic ?
Is this the pic that you want???

Twang?? Meaning Quiet?? It seemed quiet on the shooting machine but when I shot it, it is not as quiet as my R/D bows... I shoot three under... Maybe I should try it split finger...
Bob, she is very fast... Flat Trajectory...
Tonz... What is a RER Vital??
Thanks for the compliments guys...

Would like to see the chrono results. If you don't have one, just send it to me and I'll give it a work out. :)

Yeah Rich, I was wondering about noise. I have never shot that style of bow, with the static tips and always wonder if you get much string slap. The Elk are jumpy around here.

Flem... I will keep you posted on that...
Monty... I will send you a PM...
I notice a lot of guys don't post their speeds... Some say that they don't care what speed their bow is shooting... On another forum I think I pissed a few guys off for jokingly calling them chronophobes... One guy said that if he posted the speed of his bow, that he was afraid that I would copy his design... Then some other John Wayne (non-bowyer) Kook, jumped on the forum and started shooting his mouth off that speed does not matter... So now I am a little gun shy and I feel like I am sinning or something for posting my speeds... I thought being a bowyer and conversing with other bowyers, that speed is a basic and an important part of bow-making and should be discussed... Not to be hidden... In my mind there should be no ego about how fast or slow a bow is... Plain and simple it is just the speed of that bow...

Agree 100% Rich. Speed is a performance factor. A few fps is no big thing for the typical archer/hunter but along with other performance factors it's a major indicator of what the bowyer is achieving.
When it comes to hunting the bow I have been using for the past five years is close to the bottom on speed but it does so many other things well.

Maxx... I am not sure what you want to see right now... The tips are just rough sanded and ugly looking...
-
The Vital is a recurve from RER bows
-
I checked RER out... They make some nice looking bows...

Looks great Rich ! great FDC also!

Thanks Kenny... Much Appreciated...
Flem... I made another bow (40#) which my shoulders can handle shooting it... When I shot it on the chrony it sounded very quiet... Then when I shot it 3 under I was disappointed... It was noisy... Not very noisy but not quiet... Then I shot it split finger and it is very quiet... So I am stoked... This thing is a shooter... Puts the arrow where I want it, vertically and torsionally stable and super fast... With three under, a 410 gr. arrow and point on at 28 yds the arrow only drops 4 to 4 1/2" at my 29" draw...
