Title: Update...Osage Knife Handle Color Change from Sun Exposure
Post by: tippit on June 10, 2020, 09:18:52 AM
Just thought I'd show y'all the color change on an Osage knife handle from just a couple of weeks of Sun exposure.  Pictures are of the same side of the knife.  Top knife was newly made with Osage handle & bottom knife is after 2 weeks of Sun exposure.  I'd never tried to speed up the color change but it did indeed work.  I love the way the grain stands out in the amber color phase.  It will continue to get darker but I won't hurry that along anymore...tippit

That's one of the reasons I use a lot of Osage for my knives, love the look.  I also like the way Hickory sun ages but it's nowhere near the level of Osage.  Nice looking knife.
