A few pics of a little hunter I build last week. This is what I started with...albeit the piece of 1084 was smaller than what is pictured. After I forged the blade, I filed and rounded the spine and bottom of the ricasso and left all those surfaces with the file finish. I glued it all up and used a black phenolic plug for the back end to hide the connection.
