Title: Vintage Recurve Bow ID Help - Specs Stamped into Riser
Post by: SkookumDon on December 17, 2020, 02:28:50 PM
Can anyone help me ID this bow from the early-mid 1960's?  The specs have been stamped into the riser, and not many companies did that.  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

with those horns maybe has the look of an early Fasco ....
& given their relationship with Gordons
& that choice of glass colours: caramel & duck-egg blue
maybe supports that?

The previous seller thought it was an American. Looks a bit like a 1940 Cheetah, but not the Cheetah Special.

It is a bow that Sears sold, made by Indian Archery. I have seen several like that with those stamps. Bowyer was Buddy Watson.

I've never seen caramel glass on a Gordon and I've seen hundreds.

I think Gerald and Blackspot have it right. Think that was made by Indian Archery.
