Title: Bear Tamer Lane

I picked up a Bear Tamer Lane recurve it has the adj. sight and cam with a Bear quiver I was wondering if there many of these bows around and if its normal that the outer layer of fiberglass cracks and also are Bear marked quivers rare or easily found.

The bow was made in 1967. Bear had finish issues with most bows of that age. Heck, they still do. I see them for sale on a fairly regular basis. The quiver not so much.

   A nice one for sure and as mentioned already not an issue and still has life in it and Fred built them to be shot . Like Said above it was made in 1967 and if you go to the catalog year it shows that bow and cost was just over $100.00 something .
  Don’t let those surface cracks worry you unless it’s lifted from core .

 Look through this forum and click on the catalog of old bows a few posts below and someone highlighted a link to click on. From there look for Bear 1967 year and click on that catalog and scroll through the pages if you haven’t already.
 Lots of good stuff there.

 Yours has the Pistol grip (High) grip and with that sight option I think if I’m reading it correctly it was $140.00 back in 1967.
   Appears to be in really good condition from what I see so far.
   Good find and I shot the one my friend son has and it shot very smoothly and I absolutely loved the way it felt in hand but his wasn’t the high wrist but regular grip.

Nice find. I bought one once, was a 68 if my memory serves me right. I had no history on how it was stored.  It came apart on me when first drawn.

I was wondering what is the best way to store these older bows I have mine in my basement lying down flat on the bows.

Those are some unique an d beautiful bows. I'd like to find a lefty version.

That sure is one beautiful bow, just look at the richness of the wood in that riser. I'm willing to bet she is a very nice shooter, too.
