Title: A Brow Tine for a friend
Post by: Gdpolk on March 13, 2022, 01:54:40 PM
This is my Brow Tine model that I developed for the St Jude auction a year or two ago.  Brian, my antler dealer, has chosen CPM Magnacut steel for his full on custom build.  It features a skeletonized and tapered tang down to 0.015” thick on the butt, beautiful Red Stag scales from Brian’s personal stash, and black liners.  The copper elk pin was chosen to reflect on his business logo and the lanyard tube is from the same tubing used to make the elk pin.  I hand carved the pins and lanyard tubes to match the texture of the antler bark so they sit flush with the antler and did not disturb or grind away any of the beautiful, natural, God given character to the handle.  The lanyard bead also uses this tubing but has antler from one of the whitetail deer that I have personally harvested from the ground with my longbow.  The lanyard is tanned elk skin lace with double diamond knots to secure the bead.  The sheath is handmade and hand tooled out of Harmon Oak leather.  It was saddle stitched by hand and features a removable D-ring and removable dangler loop.  All of the chemicals used to create the sheath are food safe and hypoallergenic.  Sorry folks, but this one is claimed by Brian at NY Shed Antlers, go give him some support for all of your antler needs.  Tell him Garrett sent you.  He is the best of the best in the industry and you will be happy that you stopped by his shop!

Indeed he is. Brian is a good, Godly man and is my exclusive antler dealer because of his character and the quality of the antler that he acquires. I’m grateful for his friendship and support. He deserves a good knife.
