Title: Honey Locust
Post by: recurvericky on May 06, 2008, 12:18:00 AM
I have a Honey Locust tree in my backyard that I will be cutting down, does this make good laminations and riser wood for glass lamination bows?

I had a honey locust lam bow and I thought it was a beautiful wood, highly figured with these dripping like brown rings that looked like....honey!! Don't know about the wood density for risers but you will like the character in the limb lams.

Go here and compare it to other woods that you know are used in risers..

It is stronger than black walnut....
