Have this nice piece of stabilized Buckeye Burl and I cut some for this little knife.
The more I sand it down, the uglier it gets.
I have filled the voids with Super Glue but that just adds to the lackluster. :banghead:
Not going any further, time to cut this one off and start a new handle.

Sometimes those things happen. Not your fault!

I don't know what it looked like before, but it's far from ugly now. But anywho, you could try some thick black Starbond CA glue to fill those gaps. It should look pretty good in Buckeye.

I have lots of stabilized wood so I'll just try a different piece.

Let it sit for a long time and I tried something new to fill the voids. I used Loc-Tite Black Max.
I think it looks good.

Looks good!
Glad you could use it!

Fill the voids with turquoise sand mixed with thin cyan glue.

That's pretty, too.
