New guy here. I recently bought a replica Fred Bear Bowhunters kit sheath from DWF Leather Artistry and am in need of the objects to fill it. Does anyone know if the Buck 102 Woodsman will fit in place of the Western 648/ Puma knife? What are the best sources for the Norton stone and the file? Also, what grit of each would you recommend? I was thinking a Fine honing stone and a medium file….. Thanks in advance!

You may find the western in EBAY under vintage Western Knives I got one there I also bought a new one in the box still wrapped in tissue paper at an auction sale for $15. $8 more than what the new price on the box said . You need the 648A its stamped on the guard .

Found a decent 648B, it won’t fit?

if you can find a regular 648 it will fit in one of Dennis’ sheaths. I found the western knife, Norton stone and file all on line. [ You are not allowed to view attachments ] [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Wow, that is very cool! Looks like an original Bear kit. Do you mind sharing your sources?

The sheath is from Dennis Fillipelli (DWF Leather Artistry), the Western 648 knife, Norton stone and File I all found in the big action site.

Here's my homemade version. Puma trail guide. File and Leatherman tool. Use it more when winter/spring scouting.

That’s another great example! The DWF Leather sheath I picked up from Dennis is the 3rd from the left in the pic (all tan version with p38).

My home-made version.
