I was honored to take part in one of G. Freds shooting clinics back in 2012 (when he made me switch to shooting left handed!). He did make a lasting impression on me so I decided to make a set of arrow in his memory inspired by some of his red woodies. I had these cedar square arrow blanks laying around and decided to start with them. I planed and sanded them to 11/32 then tapered the last 11” to 5/16. Dyed the shaft and turkey feathers to match. They spine out at 53-56 and are flying like darts out of my 43lb Black Widow PAx.
Thank you Fred Asbell for all you did for our sport.

Very nice job. They turned out great. The matching flu flu is a nice touch.
A fitting tribute to G. Fred Asbell. :archer2:

Continuing the tradition, building the knowledge, honoring the teachings, that is how we maintain and proceed. Thank you.
