First week in June is feather shedding time, and that means time to visit ponds, lakes, golf courses, parks, and get stocked up on waterfowl feathers to make into excellent fletchings. Canada gray goose feathers make into top notch fletchings that unlike turkey feathers are highly water resistant.

Yep, the downside of these excellent feathers is their drab coloring that can make finding errant shafts difficult. Add on some bunny fur behind the fletching and that does help a bunch.
