I just wanted to give a shout out to Robert Spillman of Spillman Custom Bows; had my bow a few months and just slacking on posting this. He’s relatively new to building bows but is a member here. I wanted to build something that reminded me of my early bow hunting years with a 90s camo and he built mine out of Mossy Oak Fall Foliage and cocobolo dymondwood. Quick/quiet bow that is dead in the hand. Great guy to deal with! Been great to make a new bow hunting friend. He’s just getting started and I wanted to get him out there: here’s my bow…

Buckeyebowhunter or Robert just posted… maybe he’ll post some pics for you guys. You guys can search his posts and look at some of his bows. I don’t want to embarrass him but he does good work. I have had a ton of custom bows and have deep appreciation for all custom bowyers but I really like how he appreciates where we came from and his appreciation for the early days of “trad”. His bows are his own but I like how he tips his hat to who came before us. His bows bring a lot of style from the time we cut our teeth on the early custom bows. They remind me of the mid to late 90s when I got started.

Tip of the camo hat to anyone who takes the time to put a bow together.

Reminds me a bit of when Wessel started TT. I couldn’t find a website. Is there one? I looked on instagram. Lot of slick lookin recurves there! What’s the cost and wait on them?

I don't have a website but you guys can DM me if you want. I'm not a sponsor so I don't know how the mods will want to handle this but I don't sell enough to be a sponsor yet. I'm just a hobbyist. Dawgdoc, thanks for the kind words and for taking the time to make a post. :archer2:

Nice bow! Kind of looks like a Schafer.
