Giving thought to a Bear T/D. Something that I have never owned.
My draw has shrank to just over 27".
How close does the draw weights run vs marked poundage?
"A" riser and #3 limbs or "B" riser and #1 limbs? Not a fan of longer bows so probably staying away from "B" and #3 limbs.
Thanks,
-
Either will work I prefer B with #1 limbs myself

I'm with Randy on this. The Bear TD is the most versatile bow there is IMO.
I used to draw 29 1/2" in my prime. About a year and a bit now since shoulder surgery and draw 27". I shoot a older B mag w #1 limbs 43# at my draw. I used to have a A mag riser with #3 limbs. I prefer the B combo now. I but more weight overall and a larger sight window. My accuracy improved too.
I have a new set of limbs coming that should be about 47-48# for me in my next step of rehab.
My last two Moose both died in sight. 47# and 40#

Those 2 combos you are looking at are probably the best all around choice in general for most archers in the Bear T.D.
I could see why some like the B and #1s and some would prefer the A and #3s for different reasons.
I dont think one is better than the other.Totally a personel decision.I like both.I personally like the A and #3s a little more. But I like the lighter riser of the A and feel the draw is a little smoother.B and #1s have thier devotees and like that combo for thier own reasons.Nobody's right or wrong.

I build a lot of aftermarket limbs for the TD Bear risers and I don’t even build the #1 limbs any more. The shorter limbs are fine for guys with shorter draw lengths of 26-27” or less , but anything over that draw length you would be much happier with #2 or # 3 limbs.
Food for thought…. Kirk

I have six Bear Kodiak Takedowns and all of them are B-risers and #1 limbs. It's the combination I like. My draw is 28 1/2" and I have no problems shooting them.

The same limbs will be about 2# heavier on an "A" riser compared to the longer "B" riser.

There is a chart somewhere, maybe on Bear Archery site that lists the riser and limb combinations.

Might want to save that to your photos

Last week I got a nice older B Green Stripe riser and a set of newer #3 40# limbs and it is a very solid shooter, I'm really liking it a lot. Kurt

I draw 28" right on the button...
I've always liked my A riser with #1 limbs  :archer:
