Personally know nothing about them, but I used the search engine on here and there are 4 pages of posts about them. Read a few and the opinions vary quite a bit. I'm very satisfied with my VPA heads.
 Good luck! :archer2:

I personally don't but several of my buddies do and I have been very impressed with how they perform. They seem to be built solid, come very sharp, and hold up well. They leave very nice blood trails as well.

I remember a podcast where Randy from Safari Tuff talked about killing his polar bear with one

I have some on some arrows and have hunted with them but not taken any game yet with them . Loaned some to a buddy with a Xbox , he missed a buck and completely buried one in a two inch sapling. We were able to cut it out without damaging the broadhead and resharpen it. It still spun true, I think it is still in his quaver.

Back when I shot carbon arrows and a recurve bow I used them on a hunt in Florida and was able to take a hog and a gator with them.  They worked fine for me.  I was impressed by their precision, but they took a while to get razor sharp. I’ve since moved on to Ace heads, but I have no complaints about them.

Are they made in a mold?

I'm not going to do a search, but if you're talking about those montek heads that are made of powdered metal, you will never get them as sharp as a regular forged head, nor will they keep an edge either.

Unless they made a change, I could never get them as sharp as my other heads, and the inferior edge did not hold well at all.  :campfire:

My son uses them, and he is able to get them sharp. I have never been able to sharpen a 3 blade head, ever.

They are a solid, well made head. If you can get them sharp.

I also have the same issues, so no powdered metal for me.  Not worth it and much better heads at the same or lesser price.  Besides the lack of angle of attack.  Much too blunt of a design for me.

I could not get them adequately sharp, and had one break at the threads on a bone hit.  Just realized it’s grizzly heads or that style for me, never looking back. Tried too many disappointing heads over 35 years and lots of animals. Nothing is better IMO
