Post by: Buemaker on April 15, 2024, 12:26:01 PM
Does anyone have experience with this epoxy glue? Would it be suitable to what we are doing.

System 3 , by West Systems is a widely renowned epoxy they use a lot in the boat building industry. I see no reason it would not work well with bows…. But ….the stuff I used in boat building a lot was awfully hot stuff, and kicked off real quick. I wouldn’t want to race a clock laying up a one piece bow with it.

But….. Im  not familiar the T88 personally.

T88 I have not used. But System Three’s G-2 I have been using to build bows for years. You can read about it on their website. G-2 has a 90 minute pot life, plenty of time to layup a one piece … even deal with a snafu or two (voice of experience speaking). Long shelf life as well.
