Jerry was one of the key founders to the MLA and the GLLI. He was one of the people I ALWAYS expected to see at the shoots like Compton or the GLLI. He also started the famous Kalamazoo Expo for traditional archery.
A great man and always a gentleman.

So sorry to hear. Jerry, Sharon and Bob have always been so nice and kind. Jerry will be missed but his legacy lives on. I just listened to a recent podcast with Jerry and Rick. So glad that they took the time to make that. They made great quivers and bows and did so much for traditional archery. Praying for Sharon and the family.

Godspeed, Jerry….enjoyed the conversations and visits over the years. He was one of the GOOD ones folks.

Sad news, prayers for his family. I was fortunate to meet and chat with him at the first Swap Meet in Kalamazoo a few years ago and purchased some arrows that were his with Snuffer broadheads, and a bunch of field tips. Sad to be losing all our pioneers, there are a lot of big shoes to be filled to keep this great tradition going. :campfire: :coffee:

In 2014 Jerry made a Green Super Ghost for the PBS banquet and he sent me some laminated green wood so I could add a tippit knife to his gift. He was a very generous man...tippit

He will be missed, always generous and helpful. He handed me my first longbow when I was 15, showed me how to shoot for a few minutes, and killed my very first deer with that bow. That was almost 35 years ago.. he’s been a staple in MI TRAD.

Mr. Brumm was a true gentleman, I asked him if I could try a GN Longbow, told him I was not going to buy it... he smiled said that's fine... I bought it...

Wow I read this post yesterday and then continued reading "Traditional Bowyers of America". The very next chapter was about Jerry and Rick.
It was one of those strange moments. He sure did make an impression by the look of the comments and it is sad to hear the news. Learned a bit about him yesterday in a big way.
